Distinguishing UCT Campaign draws to a close

December saw the close-off of the five-year Distinguishing UCT Campaign.  The aim of this campaign was to raise funds for the unrestricted endowment, allowing to university to meet many of its priorities which include infrastructure, strategic projects,  bursaries and student financial aid.

We reach out to thank all of you who contributed to raising over R176 million, thereby increasing the unrestricted endowment to R676 million. 92 Canadian alumni were amongst the total 954 alumni donors to the campaign. Canadian alumni contributed R296,815.

Campaign Director, Sidney van Heerden, gives his final report here .
