Late in 2019, Prof Solly Benetar gave the Second Annual Stuart Saunders Lecture at UCT.
This lecture series recognises the lasting impact that Em. Prof. Stuart Saunders has had on the UCT community. He served as Chair of Medicine from 1971 to 1980, and Vice-Chancellor from 1981 to 1996.
Solly Benetar is the Em. Prof. of Medicine at UCT, and serves as Adjunct Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
His presentation is entitled “Health, Healthcare and Professionalism in the 21st Century”, and makes for an enlightening and thought-provoking lecture – leaving you with hope for the future of human ingenuity.
