UCT Opera Alumnus to Perform at Roy Thompson Hall

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra will be presenting Carmina Burana at the Roy Thompson Hall later this month – Tenor Sunnyboy Dladla, a graduate of the UCT College of Music will be performing.
Alumni are offered a 50% discount on tickets for Saturday 22nd (8:00 pm), and Sunday 23 June (3:00pm) seating in the Main Floor or Mezzanine area.
Sunnyboy Dladla hails from Piet Retief, and has performed both in the USA and Europe since 2012. His biography is impressive.
The performance promises to be “a choral extravaganza celebrating many of life’s greatest pleasures—from springtime and love to food and wine”.
“Esteemed Scottish conductor Donald Runnicles will lead the TSO, a cast of outstanding soloists, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and the Toronto Children’s Chorus in Orff’s Carmina Burana,. Master violinist James Ehnes presents the gorgeous melodies and high-flying emotions of the concerto by Erich Wolfgang Korngold.”
